How much does it cost to shoot the pop-ups?
To register for the event will cost $45
What do I get when I register?
The registration gets you entered into the event, 2 practice rounds (5 arrows each), a qualifying round (10 arrows) and a wrist band to renter the venue for the remainder of the ISE event at that location.
Is preregistration available?
NEW! 2017. Preregistration is now available. In return for your non-refundable $45 registration fee, you’ll get 3 extra practice rounds for free. That’s a $15 value! Preregister here.
If I don’t like my score can I shoot again?
Yes, you can purchase a re-qualification for $10
What if I shoot a worse score than my previous?
We’ll always keep your highest score for qualification.
Can I just shoot for fun?
In most cases, yes. We charge $5 for a practice round of 5 arrows. However, there will be times when we are busy with shooters who need to qualify for the event and will not be able to accommodate a shooter who just wants to try it.
Who can shoot the tournament?
The events are open to everyone!!! You must have your own equipment and the ability to hit targets out to 50+ yards.
What divisions do you have?
Currently we have separate men’s and ladies’ divisions.
Is there a division for kids?
As of now, we do not have a division for youth. Sorry!
What kind of equipment works best to shoot the pop-ups?
Most often a hunting type compound bow is best. The shooter will need a minimum of 5 arrows with appropriate field tips as well.
What kind of equipment should I NOT use?
Target type bows with long front stabilizers tend to be very difficult to use. Also a single pin slider sight doesn’t work well because you will not have time between shots to make the adjustments.
Can I use my crossbow?
Are range finders allowed?
No, we do not allow range finders, it’s part of the game to guess the ranges. And no, if you ask us, we won’t tell you how far away the targets are.
Will you bring your system to the event we are having?
Absolutely!!! The prices to book us will vary depending on time of year, how far we travel, indoors or outside and number of days. Best way is to call us at 719-924-8682 and we can figure it out.

What are the requirements for JOAD and AAA?
The requirements to participate in Junior Olympic Archery Development and Adult Archery Achievement are slightly different than with our normal courses, because they are run by USA Archery. You must first buy a membership with Team USA to participate, which does not include the cost to shoot in our store. You must also bring your own bow and arrows to the sessions. Go to Team USA Archery’s page for more details.
I want to participate in a class, but I don't see it on your website or course booking page.
Some courses are offered seasonally and may not be available year-round. If you’d like to be notified when we add new courses to our schedule, sign up for our newsletter!
Go to our Archery Tag page for pictures and videos where you can see Archery Tag in action!
What is Archery Tag?
Archery Tag is similar to laser tag or dodgeball, but played with bows and arrows. It’s an action-packed, engaging game perfect for friends and family to have fun and compete against one another in a super-safe environment.
Is it safe?
Yes, players are given face masks and use foam-tipped arrows to shoot. There is virtually no pain when someone is hit with an archery tag arrow.
How many people can play?
There needs to be at least three people on each team, for a total of 6 people, but we can accommodate up to 20 people per game. Call us at 719-924-8682 or email us for more details.
Do I have to bring my own equipment/does the equipment cost anything?
No, we provide the equipment and the cost is included in the price.
What are the rules?
There are two basic styles of game play in Archery Tag: one where teams compete to rack up points and the other where teams complete to eliminate players.
League Style (Playing for Points)
This style of game play makes a great spectator sport because it is fast-paced with many lead changes, and is more beneficial to newer players or those who are “paying per game.” When a player is hit with an arrow, they remain in the game and continue to play.
Basic Rules: The object of this style is to score as many points as possible in the allotted time (typically 5 to 10 minutes depending on scheduling and number of players).
Points are scored in the following manner: 1 point is awarded for shooting an opposing player with an arrow in one of the following areas: Player’s body (including the head), any and all clothing (uniform), and any equipment (bows, arrows, masks, etc). 2 points are awarded for: Knocking a spot completely out of the opposing teams target, or catching an opponent’s arrow in mid-flight.
Elimination Style (Classic)
This option appeals to the more experienced players, or those who like more risk in the game. When a player is hit with an arrow, they are out of the game until one of their teammates catches an arrow or knocks out one of the spots from the opposing team’s 5-spot target.
Basic Rules: The object of this style of play is to have the most players and target spots remaining at the end of a timed game (typically 5 to 10 minutes depending on scheduling and number of players).
Getting a Player Out A player is considered out and must leave the field if the player is hit with an opposing team’s arrow in any of the following areas: Player’s body (including the head), any and all clothing (uniform), any equipment (bows, arrows, masks, etc.), or if the player shoots an arrow that is caught mid-air by an opposing player.
Recalling a Player A player can return to the game if a teammate catches an opponent’s arrow in mid-air or if a teammate knocks out one of the spots from the opposing team’s 5-spot target.
